In the United States, this date has been adopted by the Mexican community as a day of celebration and pride.

Although May 5th is not a national holiday in Mexico, with only schools being closed, in the Latino communities of the United States, this day has been adopted as a festive occasion.

San Diego is no exception, so residents will celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, with various activities.

From May 5th to 7th, Fiesta Old Town will take place with live music, performances, food, drink, wrestling, and activities for the whole family, and best of all, it's free.

SeaWorld will have Viva la Música every weekend in May, with festive decorations for the whole family and the same cost of admission to the park.

The Bahía Resort Hotel will have the Cinco de Mayo Party Cruise for a cost of $20, which consists of a big party with DJ music, views of Mission Bay, and special drinks.

The Tacos and Beer Fest will take place at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center on May 6th, with a cost of $15.

There, the Ramona Chamber of Commerce will have its first Annual Tacos and Beer Festival, a family event with food, live music, crafts, and more.

The Cinco de Mayo Festival at Grape Day Park will be on Sunday, May 7th, and admission is free, with music, food, and fun.
