A man has been arrested in Sacramento, CA for possessing explicit images involving minors

Investigators are actively searching for potential additional victims following the arrest of a man from Sacramento County on suspicion of possessing child pornography. Twenty-eight-year-old Aleksandr Antolyevi Rudenko, a resident of Antelope, has faced criminal charges related to minors on three separate occasions in the past six years.

Rudenko's latest arrest occurred earlier this week when sheriff's deputies took him into custody, accusing him of possessing materials depicting sexual conduct involving children. Currently, Rudenko remains in custody at the Sacramento County Jail, and he appeared for his arraignment on Friday afternoon at the Superior Court of Sacramento. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 17th.

It is worth noting that Rudenko was already out on bail while awaiting prosecution for a previous sexual assault case in Sacramento County when he was arrested again last Wednesday. Court records indicate that a mental health evaluation had been ordered in relation to that case, but the judicial process is ongoing.

As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office determined that Rudenko was in possession of "child sexual abuse material," as stated in a press release by sheriff's officials.

The Sheriff's Office revealed that Rudenko has a history of frequenting parks and cinemas, as well as using social media platforms to establish contact with minors. In light of this situation, authorities urge anyone with relevant information or who may have been a victim of Rudenko to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office and assist in the investigation.

Investigations continue to uncover all the details surrounding Rudenko's offenses and identify potential additional victims who may have been affected by his actions. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office is committed to taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the community and protect minors from any form of exploitation or sexual abuse. These data are published by The Sacramento Bee through its website.
