Two firefighters in Los Angeles were seriously injured after an explosion involving a truck carrying cylinders in the Wilmington area.

The incident occurred Thursday morning when several firefighters responded to the emergency, with at least two of them seriously injured.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that they were dispatched to the 1100 block of North Alameda Street just before 7 a.m. The explosion, which is still under investigation, caused three firefighters to be transported to a local hospital, at least two of them in critical condition.
