They came from all over the world, including Senegal, China, Ecuador, Rwanda, the Dominican Republic, Mauritania, India, and Kazakhstan

Border Patrol released hundreds of illegal migrants onto the streets of San Diego, with some being assigned court dates on the other side of the country in places they had never heard of before.

The released illegal migrants came from around the world, including Senegal, China, Ecuador, Rwanda, the Dominican Republic, Mauritania, India, and Kazakhstan. They were released because the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) did not have facilities to hold them until their immigration court appearances. Local nonprofit organizations, funded with millions from the San Diego government to shelter illegal migrants, lacked the necessary infrastructure to handle the influx.

On Saturday morning, images circulated of illegal immigrants detained in the San Diego sector being released in San Ysidro. San Diego is just one of the cities affected by the border crisis, as millions of illegal immigrants have crossed into the United States during Joe Biden's presidency.

CBP stated that these releases demonstrate "the latest example of the urgent need for Congress to provide additional resources and take legislative action to correct our outdated immigration laws."

The whereabouts of the released individuals are currently unknown.
