The northbound State Route 125 connector in Spring Valley will be closed this weekend due to maintenance work. Starting Saturday at 5 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m., slab replacement and other roadway work will close the Jamacha Road onramp to northbound SR-125, as well as reduce three lanes on northbound SR-125 from Jamacha Road to the Troy Street overcrossing, Caltrans announced in a press release on Wednesday. The connector from the South Bay Expressway (toll road) to northbound SR-125 will also be closed from Sunday at 5 a.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

A detour will be in place for travelers entering the freeway from Jamacha Road, directing them northbound on Sweetwater Road and then eastbound on Broadway to access northbound SR-125. Drivers on the toll road heading northbound on SR-125 can take westbound SR-54 to northbound Interstate 805, then eastbound SR-54, and back to northbound SR-125.

"While one northbound lane of SR-125 will remain open during this time, Caltrans encourages motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes," the state agency said.
