After a video circulated on social media on August 10 showing a young man brutally attacking another who was on the ground, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) reported that the victim only suffered injuries from the assault.

Thousands of social media users shared that the alleged victim of the fight had died, but the FGE clarified that the young man was only beaten and received medical attention from paramedics, leaving the scene on his own.

Following the conclusion of the festival on the night of Sunday, August 11, the Baja Beach Fest authorities have not commented on the incident, and the Playas de Rosarito authorities have not reported whether the possible perpetrators have been arrested.

Additionally, on the same Saturday, a second incident reportedly occurred in which private security personnel allegedly beat and subdued another young man, an incident that has not yet been clarified by any authority.
