Here’s where to celebrate It
On Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a special "El Grito" event will take place where the Mexican community can immerse themselves in a vibrant Mexican atmosphere with attractions, traditional Mexican snacks, and music.
Ambassador Alicia Kerber-Palma, Consul General of Mexico in San Diego, and Mayor John McCann of Chula Vista invite you and your family to enjoy this special event. The celebration will be held at Memorial Bowl in downtown Chula Vista and is open to the public.
The afternoon will be filled with traditional Mexican live entertainment, performances, delicious food, and beverages. The highlight of the event will be the official Grito ceremony, conducted by the new Consul General of San Diego, Ambassador Kerber-Palma, at 7:30 PM.
We recommend arriving early to fully enjoy the attractions.
