A 19-year-old man was arrested during an undercover prostitution operation in the Barrio Logan neighborhood, according to a statement from authorities.

The arrest took place in the 3500 block of Dalbergia Street, where the San Diego Police Department’s Vice Unit was conducting an undercover operation. During the operation, officers witnessed a vehicle dropping off a woman initially believed to be a minor. With additional information that warranted a stop, officers intercepted the vehicle and identified the driver as 19-year-old Makiyah Hunter, a San Diego resident.

Hunter was arrested on suspicion of pimping and pandering, accused of allegedly recruiting, managing, encouraging, and financially benefitting from prostitution activities.
