San Diego police reported that a pickpocket stole mobile phones from 13 customers at several Trader Joe's stores in San Diego and Riverside in just one day. Detectives believe the suspect began his series of thefts in Riverside County before moving south.

The case was reported on October 17 when a victim tracked down their stolen phone, which was in the suspect's possession. However, the suspect fled before officers could arrive. Police managed to recover more than a dozen stolen phones, and so far, 12 of the owners have reclaimed their devices.

An image of the suspect was released, describing him as a man around 30 years old, about 5'7" tall, with short brown hair, and driving a black Mercedes Benz. The photo shows him using one of the stolen phones at a Best Buy in Mira Mesa, where he attempted to make a purchase. Information from Telemundo20.
