A National City Police sergeant escaped serious injury after crashing his SUV during Thursday’s rainy weather.
According to authorities, the accident occurred around 5 a.m. in the 300 block of National City Boulevard as the sergeant was driving northbound. Due to the weather conditions, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked car and an electrical supply box.
The sergeant, who was the sole occupant of the SUV, was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and was determined to be uninjured.
