The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office has asked for the public’s help in locating a 38-year-old woman reported missing, identified as Ganna Kovrizhynkh, who was traveling through the county as part of a cross-country road trip, authorities said.

According to family members, the last contact they had with Kovrizhynkh (pronounced “Kov-riz-nick”) was on July 5, when she was driving through San Diego during her trip. A friend filed the missing person report on July 12.

Kovrizhynkh is approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs around 100 pounds, has blonde hair and blue eyes, and may also be wearing a wig. She has several tattoos on her arms and may go by the name “Angel Volnaya.”

According to the report, her vehicle and trailer were found abandoned in Potrero, about seven miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Authorities said there is a possibility that Kovrizhynkh crossed the border into Tecate, Baja California.
