The suspect dragged, kicked, and pinned the dog with his knee over a two-block stretch

A man was arrested in the act of killing a six-month-old Husky puppy on the streets of the Villas del Real 4 neighborhood, according to the State Citizen Security Force.

The arrest followed a report of extreme animal cruelty, describing a man repeatedly beating a dog to the point of death.

According to the report, the suspect dragged the puppy for two blocks, yanked and kicked it repeatedly, and pressed his knee against the animal’s body to immobilize it.

Officers found the man on Horticultores and del Cid streets around 7:53 p.m., kneeling while forcefully pulling a rope tied around the dog’s neck.

Upon witnessing the scene, state police separated the suspect from the dog, which was already in critical condition and later died.

The suspect was identified as 55-year-old Jesús Armando “N,” a native of Ensenada. He was handed over to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), which will determine his legal situation.
