Carín León, one of the leading figures of regional Mexican music, will perform a free concert in Tijuana on March 21, Secretary of Culture Claudia Curiel de Icaza announced during President Claudia Sheinbaum’s morning press conference.

The concert will mark the launch of the “National Circuit of Festivals for Peace,” an initiative designed to bring musical expression to different parts of the country, with a particular focus on young audiences.

Speaking about Carín León, the secretary noted that the artist has more than 28 million streams and will become the first Latin and Mexican performer to appear at one of the most important venues in Las Vegas.

In addition to his international presence, the federal official emphasized that the singer does not promote violence in his music, but instead performs love songs.
