The legendary off-road race Baja 1000 will remain in Baja California; however, it will not take place in the State 29 next year.

Organizers announced that the Baja 1000 will feature a special edition in 2026, with both the start and finish lines set in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. It is not the first time the iconic international race has shifted routes, as it carries a long-standing tradition of exploring new terrains.

In a joint statement, the Baja California Tourism Secretariat and SCORE International clarified that the event will return to State 29 in 2027 for its 59th edition.

While Baja California will not host the Baja 1000 in 2026, other major off-road events are confirmed: the San Felipe 250, the Baja 500, and the Baja 400. These races are made possible through the support of SCORE International and the backing of the Baja California State Government, the XXV Ensenada City Council, the San Felipe Municipal Government, and the San Quintín Municipal Government.

Meanwhile, the 58th edition of the Baja 1000 is set to take place this year from November 10 to 16, fully confirmed.
