Thousands of fans gathered at the starting ramp in front of the Riviera Social, Civic and Cultural Center, as well as along the creek bed and other points along the route for motorcycles and off-road vehicles, stretching through the municipalities of San Quintín and San Felipe.

One of the most crowded spots was the ramp between 7th and 8th streets, where thousands of spectators began arriving before dawn to secure a better view.

This year, 235 teams from 21 countries across five continents and 31 U.S. states are participating.

Professional motorcycle and car racers must complete an 854-mile course in under 36 hours, while amateur classes will race 720 miles.

“Once again, Ensenada becomes the place where passion for sports, the commitment of our people and a high-level tourism vision come together to drive the economic, social and cultural development of our region,” said Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda during the pre-race ceremony.

Mayor Claudia Agatón noted that this year is particularly special because, after seven years, the route returns to the Arroyo Ensenada, where a special operation was set up to ensure the safety of thousands of fans and spectators attending the off-road races.
