The Mexican singer once again faces restrictions on entering the United States and cancels his highly anticipated performance in Arlington, Texas

Renowned Mexican regional music performer Julión Álvarez has announced the cancellation of his highly anticipated concert scheduled for May 24 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. In an official statement shared on his Instagram account, the singer expressed his sorrow over being unable to hold the event, citing unresolved immigration issues that have prevented him from entering the United States.

In his message to fans, Álvarez wrote: “It is with great regret that I must announce that, due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be able to perform at AT&T Stadium this May 24. We are working hard to find a new date and ensure that the show happens just as we planned.”

This setback is not an isolated incident for the artist, who has faced travel restrictions since 2017 after being added to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list over alleged ties to drug trafficking. Although Álvarez has consistently denied the accusations, the situation has significantly limited his ability to tour in the United States, impacting both his professional schedule and that of his fans.

The Arlington concert, one of the most anticipated stops of the “4218 Tour USA 2025,” had already sold nearly 50,000 tickets. With the Dallas Cowboys' home stadium set to host the event, the cancellation has left thousands of fans disappointed and hoping for a quick resolution.

The news has sparked a wide range of reactions on social media. While many followers have expressed their support for the artist, others have criticized the immigration barriers hindering his career. “It’s a shame he can’t come, but we know it’s out of his hands. We hope he can sort it out soon,” commented one fan on Instagram.
