The young woman claimed that she used methamphetamine for 48 hours, this caused the hallucinations regarding removing her eyes from her face

Kaylee Muthart of South Carolina, United States gouged out her eyes in a methamphetamine-induced psychotic episode, a year after the incident, the young woman claimed in an interview with People magazine that she detached and crushed her eyes due to hallucinations. 

 

The young woman claimed that she used methamphetamine for 48 hours, this caused the hallucinations regarding removing her eyes from the face, some time after the event Kaylee had to resort to the psychiatrist and a surgeon to save the damaged sockets of her eyes.

 

The girl said it was not easy to deal with the situation because drugs "took something away from her", in 2019 she entered a school for the blind where she could learn to survive alone and created a campaign called GoFundMe to collect money.

 

Her mother said that her daughter was 20 years old when she entered the world of drugs and had constant hallucinations that made her believe that her eyes should leave her body.

 

Tompkins thanked the individuals who supported her daughter in making the right decision about what happened. Kaylee is perceived in the future as a motivational or dedicated speaker to music.

 

Methamphetamine is a drug that increases activity and euphoria in those who consume it and even affects people's appetite.
