A crowd of thieves was captured on video as they fled from a luxury clothing store in Glendale, California, carrying merchandise reportedly worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in broad daylight on Tuesday.

Bystanders outside the Americana at Brand shopping complex in Glendale recorded a viral video on their cell phones showing dozens of masked thieves running out of a Yves Saint Laurent store.

"They took all the merchandise in less than a minute," a store employee told FOX11 Los Angeles.

The video shows that a nearby delivery driver attempted to stop one of the thieves while another bystander shouted, "Let him go! It's not worth it."

Other individuals witnessed the scene as the thieves carried clothing and bags to waiting getaway cars.

The stolen merchandise is estimated to be worth around $300,000, as reported by Glendale police to KABC-TV.

Police stated that the "flash mob" robbery involved between 30 and 40 suspects who escaped in approximately 20 different vehicles, the station reported.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Glendale Police Department, but did not receive an immediate response.

California, like many other states, has witnessed bold smash-and-grab robberies in recent years, a trend that increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.
