An individual was arrested in Ecuador after a video circulated showing him touching the private parts of a minor in a local supermarket in the community of Playas.

The incident was recorded by the security cameras of the establishment, and after the event, the visibly affected girl returned home, where she tearfully sought the support of her relatives and revealed what had happened. The family went to the supermarket, requested the security footage, and presented it as evidence to the authorities.

The footage shows the man and the approximately 10-year-old girl waiting at the supermarket counter. Despite the presence of the cashier, the man approached the minor and, inappropriately, touched her in the groin area.

Although the girl tried to move away several times, the man persisted until he finally obtained his items and left the store. The girl paid for her items and also left the premises.

After the family presented the video to the authorities, the police initiated an investigation to locate the suspect. The capture of the individual was confirmed hours later, with reports indicating that he was attempting to escape the city.
