In Guayaquil, Ecuador, an attempted attack ended in tragedy for a perpetrator when the bomb he was trying to place in a location exploded in his hands. The incident, captured in a viral video on social media, shows a man descending from an orange car and heading towards the establishment with an explosive device in hand.

Upon reaching the location, the individual attempts to set up the bomb, but after a few minutes of manipulation, the explosive detonates, generating a smoke cloud that covers the scene. The driver of the vehicle from which the attacker descended chose to flee upon witnessing the detonation, leaving his companion's body on the street.

Hours later, Guayaquil's emergency services arrived at the scene; however, the man had died instantly due to the impact of the explosion. As of now, his accomplice has not been apprehended.
