In Chota, Cajamarca, Peru, a 39-year-old woman cut off her husband's penis after suspecting him of being unfaithful.

The woman, identified as Marleni Rimarachi Colunche, had an argument with her partner, Iván Céspedes Sánchez, who, minutes later, and due to being under the influence of alcohol, fell asleep. The woman took the opportunity to amputate the man's member.

It is worth mentioning that she and her partner have a three-month-old child.

Following this gruesome incident, the man was taken to the local hospital, where he received first aid. However, due to the severity of his injuries and the lack of specialists, he was evacuated to the city of Chiclayo, where he is in critical condition.

As for the assailant, Marleni was arrested by local police and taken to the Chota police station, where her case is expected to be handled by the Public Ministry.
