They warn that individuals could lose their immigration status: “they are no longer eligible to remain in the U.S.”

The United States government has issued a warning to visa holders and lawful permanent residents about the potential consequences of engaging in behavior that goes against the nation’s laws and values.

In a message shared by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), officials reminded the public that “coming to the United States and receiving a visa or Green Card is a privilege,” not an automatic right.

The statement emphasizes that individuales who “advocate for violence, support or assist terrorist activities, or encourage others to do so” may lose their immigration status. In such cases, the agency warns, “they are no longer eligible to remain in the U.S.”

The message signals a tougher stance from immigration authorities, especially amid ongoing national security concerns. USCIS reiterated that respect for U.S. laws and values is essential to maintain any immigration benefit.
