In La Paz, Baja California Sur, México, there was a significant police mobilization after the administrative staff of a secondary school in the La Fuente neighborhood reported the presence of a student carrying an object resembling a firearm on the premises.

The emergency call to 911 detailed that a 13-year-old student had a weapon, apparently a firearm, prompting the immediate implementation of security protocols by the educational institution.

Local authorities were alerted.

Both the Municipal Police and agents of the State Preventive Police moved to the location, where they conducted a thorough inspection of the object in the student's possession. After the inspection, it was determined that it was a replica of a Glock-17 type short firearm, made of plastic, and did not pose a real threat.
