In the early hours of Monday, at 2:00 a.m., a routine patrol by elements of the State Citizen Security Force revealed a scene on the bridge in the Cuesta Blanca neighborhood, which crosses the Tijuana-Rosarito highway.

The officers discovered two red bags hanging from the bridge. Upon inspection, they found two human heads inside.

The heads, presumably of two men, have not yet been identified. The area of the discovery lacks public lighting and a camera monitoring system, complicating the investigations. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident.

The bridge remained closed while authorities worked to remove the heads and collect evidence.

In the last 24 hours, three homicides have been reported in Tijuana, raising the total to 18 victims over the weekend. According to official figures, there have been 21 murders so far in August, bringing the total to 1,099 homicides so far this year.
