A massive fire broke out at a truck repair shop located next to the Aeropuerto highway, causing significant material damage as it engulfed a nearby home and five vehicles.

Firefighters from five stations responded to the scene to battle the flames. After more than two hours of intense efforts, they were able to bring the fire under control with no injuries reported.

Miguel Ángel Cevallos, Director of Civil Protection, stated that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, as several irregular electrical connections were observed in the area.

On-duty Fire Chief Daniel Cota explained that the presence of gasoline and diesel containers on the site made the firefighting efforts more challenging. He also noted that a large amount of equipment was used in this operation, including a water tanker, several tanks, pumps, and a rescue machine.
