An armed attack at a beauty salon resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to a 16-year-old girl.

The incident occurred Tuesday night at an establishment located at the intersection of Constitución and Novena streets in the downtown area.

According to initial reports, around 9:00 p.m., an armed man entered the premises and opened fire. The woman, approximately 40 years old, was shot in the head and died at the scene.

The teenager sustained a wrist injury and was treated by Red Cross paramedics. Witnesses stated that the attacker, who was not apprehended, was dressed in black, wore a face mask, and had a black cap. Members of the National Guard, the Army, the Municipal Police, UMAS, and the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) responded to the scene.
