Unofficial reports suggest the victim is Fedra Gaxiola, a well-known sportswear influencer, who was ambushed by assailants in a gray Honda HHR. The attackers reportedly fired multiple shots at her.

Miguel Ángel Gaxiola Rodríguez, the Specialized Prosecutor for Crimes Against Life from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), stated that authorities are working at the crime scene, collecting shell casings and retrieving footage from surveillance cameras to identify the perpetrators.

“There are multiple lines of investigation emerging. We need to work with the evidence—the shell casings, the surveillance footage, and the victim’s image. We must remain objective to identify the likely suspect,” he commented.

The prosecutor also confirmed that various investigative paths are being explored. Unofficial sources indicate that the victim had publicly accused the former Tijuana Municipal Police Director, Héctor Villegas, of domestic violence on August 28, 2024.

As of now, reports suggest that the young influencer remains in critical condition at a Mexican Red Cross hospital. However, Gaxiola Rodríguez clarified that he is unaware of claims circulating on social media that the victim has passed away.
