On Wednesday night, a shooting at a residence in Chula Vista resulted in the death of a man and left a woman injured.  

According to Sergeant Anthony Molina of the Chula Vista Police Department, at approximately 8:42 p.m., officers received a 9-1-1 call reporting gunfire at a home in the 600 block of Cazorla Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a man and a woman, both around 60 years old, suffering from gunshot wounds. The couple was rushed to a local hospital, where the man, who had suffered a gunshot wound to the torso, was pronounced dead. The woman remains hospitalized and is receiving medical treatment.  

“The man and woman, whose identities have not yet been released, were married, and the incident is believed to be a domestic dispute, with no outstanding suspects,” Sergeant Molina stated in a press release.
