Authorities are expected to release official information on the matter in the coming hours

The residence where Pablo Edwin Huerta Nuño, alias “El Flakito,” alleged leader of the Tijuana Cartel, was reportedly arrested remains under guard by federal forces. The operation is believed to have taken place in the early hours of Tuesday at a home located at 8515 Cumbres de la Encantada Street, in the Fundadores neighborhood.

Elements of the National Guard and the Mexican Army, under the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), continue to secure the perimeter. While there has been no official confirmation, unofficial reports suggest the arrest was carried out through an intelligence-led operation coordinated by security authorities.

Huerta Nuño is considered one of the top targets in the fight against organized crime in the region. Authorities are expected to release an official statement in the coming hours.

“El Flakito” is believed to have risen through the ranks of the Tijuana Cartel following the deaths of other leaders, eventually consolidating his position as a key figure within the criminal organization.
