The area was cordoned off as forensic experts from the State Attorney General’s Office collected ballistic evidence

A ministerial agent with the Baja California State Attorney General’s Office was fatally shot Friday morning in the Buenos Aires Norte neighborhood, in the Cerro Colorado district.

The attack occurred around 7:00 a.m. on San Felipe Street, where residents reported gunfire. Upon arrival, municipal police officers found a man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics confirmed that the victim, identified as 43-year-old Humberto Antonio Martínez Corrales, showed no signs of life.

According to unofficial reports, the suspects fled the scene in a gold Kia and a white Nissan March, both with foreign license plates.

During a search operation, authorities located a Kia matching the description at the intersection of Nuevo León and San Felipe, where they found a rifle magazine inside the vehicle.

The area was sealed off while forensic investigators processed the scene and gathered ballistic evidence.
