Padres will look to return to the win column this Friday against the Brewers

The San Diego Padres suffered back-to-back losses after falling 3-2 to the San Francisco Giants in the final game of a four-game series at Oracle Park, part of the 2025 LMB season.

In the top of the third inning, Manny Machado blasted a two-run homer, bringing home Luis Arraez to give the Padres an early 2-0 lead.

However, the Giants responded in the bottom half of the same inning. Willy Adames hit a sacrifice fly to score Heliot Ramos. Moments later, Dominic Smith doubled, driving in Matt Chapman and Jung Hoo, putting San Francisco ahead 3-2—a lead they would hold on to. With the result, the series ended in a 2-2 split.

The Padres now hold a 35-26 record, trailing the Los Angeles Dodgers (38-25) by two games in the standings.

San Diego continues its road trip and will open a three-game series today against Milwaukee at American Family Field. First pitch is scheduled for 5:10 p.m.
